I cannot believe we are in the middle of November. Honestly, my brain is so confused about how time works. I woke up on Wednesday thinking it was Saturday! I don't blame the time change as much as I blame the election. It wasn't that long ago but all the coverage and all the arguing makes it seems like it has been much longer. Frankly, I'm just tired of it all.
I haven't been reading my books. I am still reading Present Over Perfect although I am almost finished. To be honest the election thing has really thrown me off my game. I've been reading a ton of new. Lots of CNN, NPR, Facebook rants, and the like. I need to quit though, because it is just putting me in the worst mood. If you have any non-fiction book suggestions, please share them with me.
I've been watching a lot of Dora and Daniel Tiger to be honest. This has a lot to do with my oldest kiddo. He knows when mom is busy with brother that he can get into things. So to keep him somewhat distracted, I have been turning the TV on more. I know that this is not a good thing to start and I am hoping to find some alternative. After the boys are in bed, I start doing blog stuff so I don't really watch TV.
Since crying and tantrums don't count.... Yeah not been listening to music either.
The sleep situation has really gotten better. The littlest one is napping again and the oldest isn't staying up all hours of the night. For my oldest, he just wasn't ready for the big boy bed, so he is now sleeping in a smaller little pod, which he loves. Entertaining the toddler without TV is the next thing I am trying to tackle. My oldest just loves getting into everything. He also loves attention even if it means getting in trouble.
My husband is pretty much unavailable right now. He is working full time and going to school full time. He comes home and does homework until he goes to bed. So right now it feels like I have a roommate and not a husband. I know he needs to finish school but it is really hard not being able to do things as a family because he is so busy.
Blog and Social Media
Things are going pretty well for the blog right now. I have two sponsored posts this month, (ad) Gerber Cereal and (ad) JORD. I really enjoyed working on both of them. I am focusing on putting together a really great monthly newsletter too, which you should sign up for. It is only going to come out once a month in the middle of the month so you don't have to worry about getting a ton of emails from me.
I am pretty excited about Christmas. I am really excited to see how my little ones react this year. My oldest was just a year old so I don't think he really understood what was going on. This year, I think he will love it, especially the tree and the lights.
