February Setbacks and March Goals

Here we are at the beginning of a new month. March is a significant month for me for many reasons but most importantly, it is my birthday month. This is pretty exciting for me and you because I have some really good things coming to the blog. One of which will be a GIVEAWAY! It will feature some of my favorite things. I know I'm not Oprah so it won't be like her fantastic favorite things giveaway, but I promise it will be good!

This month I really did not do good on my goals. Things have been hectic around here and I've been trying to do too much.

Continue to eat healthy: I did eat more healthy meals, but I did have a bit more desserts than I should have  so I can't really say I did this.

Earn $200 in additional income: This didn't happen. I haven't been getting as many opportunities to earn money.  I haven't had time to do surveys and things around the blog have been a bit slow.

Lose 3 more pounds: I actually gained half a pound. When I stepped on the scale I couldn't believe I gained weight. But then I found myself eating the worlds largest rice crispy treat, so I found my answer. Too much junk food.

Limit eating out to 4 times per month: Yay we did this one. We only ate out 2 times this month.

Drink more water: Another success. My husband and I have made an effort to both drink more water. We make sure to keep a pitcher in the refrigerator so the water is nice and cold.

Improve my photography: This goal is still in progress. I've been taking tons and tons of pictures. I think by the end of next month I'll reevaluate my skills.

Organize my samples/photo props/blog stuff:  I did organize but I still have too much stuff. I need to get rid of more stuff.

Make a list of everything I need to do: No. I actually forgot about this.

For March, I really had to think about my goals. I scaled back my blogging last month because I really had too much going on in my life.  I want to make sure the things I am giving my time to are important and rewarding.  I either need to figure out how to get more done in a day or I have to cut some things out .

Limit dessert to once per week: I know that I didn't lose weight because I ate way too much junk. I have been working out but one treat takes an hour at the gym to burn off.  I'd have to work out twice as much to lose weight if I keep eating so much junk. Well I don't have time for that, so I am cutting the junk instead.

Lose 3 pounds: I am already off track for my goal so I really have to lose 3 pounds.

Work out 3 times per week: I've only been going to the gym twice a week, but I need to be going more. This is hard because I can only go when my husband is willing to watch the kids or after they all go to bed. If you have been watching my Instagram Stories, you know I have been working out pretty late at night lately.

Take a fun class: For my something new this month, I am going to be taking a fun class with some other Portland bloggers. I am pretty excited. I'll be Insta Storying (I almost said snapping like Snap Chat) the experience. I'll let you know a few days before so you won't miss it.
