Skin Care For Your Skin Type: Dry

In case you missed my first post in the skin care for your skin type series, I know how hard it can be to find recommendations for my skin type. I want to make sure you don't have the same problem so I am putting together guides for a variety of skin types. If you don't have dry skin you can check out my recommendations for normal skin.

Dry Skin

Cleanser: For dry skin a super gentle cleanser is recommended. Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm or Philosophy Purity Made Simple

Eye cream: A rich eye cream day and night will help keep wrinkles and fine line away. Clinique All About Eyes Rich or Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment

Serum: Using a serum to help with dryness is a great option if you are looking for a general recommnedation. Make sure to follow with SPF. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum or Caudalie S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum

Moisturizer: A moisturizer with SPF is a must if you use a serum. Clinique Superdefense SPF 20 or Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital

Weekly: Weekly chemical exfoliation will gently remove dead skin cells. Ole Henriksen Power Peel or Kate Somerville Retasphere Micro Peel

Cleanser: You can use the same cleanser in the evening if you want or use one designed specifically to remove makeup if you are a daily makeup wearer. First Aid Beauty Milk Oil Conditioning Cleanser or Clinique Take The Day Off Cleanser

Eye cream: Same

Serum: You could use the same or use a serum with more exfoliating power. Peter Thomas Roth Retinol Fusion PM or Perricone MD High Potency Evening Repair

Moisturizer:  Same or you could use a moisturizer specifically for night. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream or Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins

As needed: If your face is feeling extra dry, replace your moisturizer with a facial oil. Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil or Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil
