I’m sitting here at the computer watching Troll Hunters and thinking about this year and the year to come. I never imagined Feisty Green Polka Dot would become as successful as it has been and I cannot wait to see how much it grows in the coming year.
While Feisty Green Polka Dot was created in 2013, it wasn’t until this year that I started dedicating more time to the blog.
Let’s look back and see the highlights of the year!
Top Five Posts From 2016
Gestational Diabetes Meal Plan: This has been my most popular post. It has the largest amount of traffic and it all comes from Pinterest.
Dia and Co Plus Size Styling Review: While I do not identify as a plus sized fashion blogger, I wrote this review so other plus sized women could read about the service Dia and Co provides.
Beginners Guide To Self Care: This is a post all about self care. It explains the different components of self care and examples of self care activities.
Great Gifts For The Guy In Your Life: This was a post of gift ideas for the holidays. Really all the gifts would be great for a birthday, anniversary, or just because.
Gift Guide For The Girly Girl: This gift guide includes an array of items that any girly girl would love to receive. Again these gifts would be great for every occasion.
Social Media Growth
I started all of these social media accounts from 0 this year. I am so surprised by how much I’ve grown.
Goals For 2016
I didn’t set goals for this year. I really had no idea what was realistic for me.
Goals For 2017
For Pinterest, my goal is to reach 5k followers.
By the end of the 2017, I’d like to be averaging 10k pageviews.
I’d also want to have 10k followers on Instagram, which I know is a lofty goal.
As for income, I would like to earn at least $5,000 for the year. I’d like to do this through my ads, sponsored posts, and products/services.
Develop a free resource library for my readers.
I am also wanting to streamline my blog content. I will be focusing more on the lifestyle topics and less on parenting.
Are you a blogger? How did you do on your blogging goals for the year?
