I used to pretend I had a sibling all the time when I was younger. I’d dream of having a sister to play dolls with or tea party. Sadly, my sibling didn’t arrive until I was fourteen and it was a boy. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I don’t think having a sister would have made the pre-teen me much happier either to be honest. Having spent much of my life as the center of attention, it was something I had grown to appreciate, thank you very much.
My oldest is very active and loves to get into things all the time. During the day we do a lot of running around the house, wrestling on the floor, and dancing to music.
Table time activities often include coloring, working on word flash cards, or playing with his sorting bears. Right now toddler time usually lasts about 15-30 minutes. If I sit and participate in the table time activity with him then he is happier longer. If I do chores, table time usually ends much sooner.
Do you have two under two? If you have a young toddler, how do you keep them entertained? I’d love to hear how you fill your days.
